The development of the FSH210 Senior Collection Workshop syllabus was a carefully tailored process, aimed at maximizing the educational journey for fashion design students.

“Inspired by the facets of love comes duality in the good and bad. With leather and lace being polar opposites, together they tell a beautiful yet complex story.”
Layla’s collection was ambitious - she wanted to express intangible feelings about the complexity of relationships, with a limited and deliberate color palette of black and white. She was interested in creating shapes that could follow the body or diverge from it. The message changed with each look: a sweetness tempered by leather buckles, an aggressive silhouette followed by a dress so literally soft that it was quilted.
Briana Ruffin: "Throwback Threads"
Designed with the Jet-setter in mind this collection features retro resort wear with a modern twist. Inspired by the 90s, This collection evokes a sense of rebellion and sexiness. The colors include bright shades of pink, blue, orange, and yellow demonstrating the island vibe perfect for the next vacation.
Arty Bryan: "Historical Meets Streetwear"
"I’ve always had a fascination with historical fashion and silhouette- and the same with the clean finishes and slick fabrics of modern streetwear. Why not combine them?
Bringing in a custom print for the corset-inspired tops in the form of digitized and pixelated Van Gogh paintings highlights the fusion of past and future. I drafted accompanying separates for each top, in modern cuts- the cargo pants and slit skirts we’re seeing on alternative icons in the streets of cities like New York, Seoul, Paris.
Add modern fabrics like neoprene and pleather to really drive the fusion- and you have my collection."
